Noise, crackles, pops: Intimacy lies in the imperfect, and those who turn away from big studio productions often find their way back to the essentials, namely a good song, honest expression and authentic emotions. Just like Helmet Lampshade
ParkWalker Picknick Club Band
Fond of parks – so far so obvious. Expect a personal and authentic soundtrack to the following scenery: Strolling at a moderate pace through the fragile idyll inmidst a vibrant city, breathing cold air, arms crossed behind your back. Old tall trees open up space, faint city noise mixes with rustle of leaves, degenerated animals attentively watch your steps. You sit on a bench, pause and notice the beauty of all this.
ParkWalker’scompact emopop/slowcore sound published on This Charming Man Records in Münster is created by two clean interweaved guitars (Hannes&Nicola), insistent bass lines (Arnaud), laid-back drums (Armin) and the warm voice of Nicola. Melodies and that stick to your head, within mostly classic song structures. You may be flashed back to the dear 90ies or be reminded of American Football or Snow-patrol.ParkWalker Picknick Clubis solo-version of ParkWalker including an acoustic guitar and electronic elements. Nicola started this project during the pandemic and plays shows alone, with band members or guest musicians – or together withHelmet Lampshade.
